About Stewart

Being the oldest hairy Hiker I think it's good to challenge yourself now and again, so when the idea of ...........oh who am I kidding? I'd like to say that I do this to raise money for a worthy cause, that's true. I'd like to say I joined The Hairy Hikers because several family members and friends have been affected by cancer and that the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in 2008 was a small way of giving something back, that's true. I'd like to say that the preparation for the walk and the event itself will make me fitter and prove to some younger members of the team that I'm not too old for this sort of thing. All these things are undeniably true. However, if I'm honest the main reason I got involved in The Hairy Hikers involves the best part of a gallon of Black Sheep Best Bitter and a mouth too big for my own good!
