Why We Do It

Photo of Ingleborough taken on a training walk in 2008 You may be wondering why we go to all the effort of organising a Charity Hiking Challenge and raising money for charity.

There are many reasons why we do it. Some of us do it for personal reasons, because we have lost relatives or friends to illness and have received help from a charity, in particlar the cancer charities. Others do it for the challenge and to support the rest of us. We also do it because we enjoy it, there's nothing like the fantastic view from the summit of a fell you have just climbed, but overall we do it because we can. Even if we only make a small difference, it may mean a lot to someone.
